Today I’ll share some fun facts about Halloween with you:

1.) Orange and black became Halloween colors because Orange is associated with fall harvests and Black is associated with death.

2.) “Trick or Treat!”

The estimated number of potential “trick-or-treaters” in 2005 {5- to 13-year-olds} across the United States, which declined by 284,000 from 2004. 3.) Jack O’ Lanterns and Pumpkin Pies
1.1 billion pounds
Total production of major pumpkin-producing states in 2005. Illinois led the country by producing 497 million pounds of the viney orange gourd. Pumpkin patches in California, Ohio and Pennsylvania also provided lots of pumpkins: each state produced at least 100 million pounds. 4.) The very first jack o’ lanterns were made out of hollowed out turnips.

5.) Black cats were originally believed to protect witches’ powers from negative forces.

1. Regular or Diet Soda- Regular, no point in drinking the diet. Plus it leaves a horrible after taste.

2. Salt or Pepper- I love pepper. Fresh ground pepper and lots of it!

3. Dogs or Cats- dogs, hubby is deathly allergic to cats. I do love the wit of a feline though.

4. Hot or Cold Weather- definitely a hot weather person. I start complaining when the weather is under 85 degrees.5.

5. Dieting or Exercising - LOL…. I’d rather exercise.

6. Cooking or Doing the dishes- I’d rather cook. I’ll avoid dishes anytime I can.

7. Sleeping or Shopping- I would rather shop than sleep anytime. Thank goodness for the internet

8. Red Lobster or Outback- Red lobster has the best cornbread muffins, but I think outback’s bloomin’ onion is the winner.

9. Classical or Hip Hop- I enjoy classical better, but trip hop is the best.

10. Dancing or Playing Sports- Playing sports with the kiddos is my preferred choice.

-okay this is seriously 20 questions…rofl

11. Back Rub or Foot Rub- back rub, i prefer to rub my own feet

12. Fruits or Vegetables- Fresh veggies are a favorite in our house.

13. Grey’s anatomy or House- haha- I love watching house clips on ‘the soup’ , but grey’s is hands down a favorite.

14. Coffee or Tea- Tea in the summer and coffee in the winter.

15. Curling up with a book or a night on the town- I’ll take any night on the town with my hubby I can get. If I’m without him, then I’d rather read a book.

16. Skirts or Shorts- hands down shorts.

17. Straight or Curly Hair- My hair is very naturally curly, but I love to straighten it.

18. Hamburgers/Hot Dogs or chinese- I’d prefer hamburgers, but love me an eggroll.

19. Vacationing in Switzerland or Mexico- Mexico. Don’t like the cold, so the beach is a favorite place of mine.

20. Sports Car or SUV- I must say I’d probably get a sports car, but I love range rovers.

A very simple way of displaying your pictures and telling your stories are with storybooks. You can also go a step further and become a digital scrapbooker. If you haven’t heard of that term before, a digi-scrapper is simply someone who enjoys creating layouts on their computers. Digital scrapbooking offers a no setup, no glue, no mess way of designing scrapbooks. There are various ways you can display your layouts such as- emailing them to family and friends, creating slide shows, putting them online, and my favorite way- having my layouts published on glossy pages in hardbound books.
